How to Apply for a Grant and FAQ
WHAT STEPS ARE INVOLVED IN APPLYING FOR A GRANT?

- Navigate to the Grants and Fundraising page:
- Select the grant you would like to apply for, then click the blue apply button. Good luck!
DO I HAVE TO Create A User Account TO APPLY FOR A GRANT?
Yes. Creating an account is quick and easy, and allows you to receive our popular monthly emails, access to other content on our website, and apply for future grants. We don't share our user information for any purpose.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER MY GARDEN TO APPLY FOR A GRANT?
No, registration is not mandatory. If you choose to register your garden, this will allow you to create a unique registration for your school or garden that can be shared with other people in your organization or with other organizations applying for you.
My FILE ARE TOO LARGE TO UPLOAD, WHAT CAN I DO IT?
You should be able to upload images of any size and our system will scale the image down to a size we can store. You should be able to upload most images within the upload size we have allowed, if your image is too large to upload, you can resize your images with software like Apple iPhoto, Adobe Photoshop, GNu Image Manipulation Program, software that came with your digital camera, or other image editing software. Also try free web-based image editing services like Webresizer or Photoshop Express.
WHAT TYPES OF IMAGES CAN I UPLOAD?
We accept images with the following image types:JPEG(.jpg), JIFF (.gif) and Ping (.png).
HOW CAN I UPLOAD MORE THAN ONE IMAGE?
After attaching an image to your grant, you will find a button that says "Add Another Image." Every time you click this button you can an another image to your grant.
MY PDF FILES ARE TOO LARGE TO UPLOAD, HOW CAN I GET AROUND THIS PROBLEM?
If you are creating the PDF with an Abobe tool, you can choose the option Save PDF as PostScript, which will make for a much smaller file. If you are not using Adobe tools, you can also use online tools likeCreatePDF.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE GRANT APPLICATION THAT I STARTED?
If you started an application and elected to save it you may only access it until the deadline date. After you have started an application, you may save it by selecting the "resume and save for later" button in the lower left hand corner. Once you have put your answers into the application and moved forward you may not alter your answers per page, so please look over the application carefully.
